Is anyone else concerned that the "numbers" keep changing so rapidly?
When the government gave the "FU"(fiscal update) to the opposition a few weeks ago they said that they expected to have a surplus budget in 2009. This has now changed to a 30 Billion dollar deficit.
The Conservatives like to compare government budgeting to household budgeting so that us simple people can understand it better. There is no real comparison between the two but it makes complex ideas more palatable to the masses. This is especially effective when explaining why we can't have decent child care, more family doctors, spending on the environment or any other issue that effects the public directly.
Well, if my household budget deficit was spiraling out of control like this, I would think that I had really "FU"(f%*ked Up).
